King Country Energy Appoints New Director

Today we announce that Robert Carter, Trustee of the King Country Trust, has stepped down as director of King Country Energy after 8 years serving in the role.

Jo Bransgrove - Trustee of the King Country Trust based in Omori – was appointed in his place to fill the role of King Country Trust’s board member for King Country Energy.

Jo is an active leader in the King Country community, also serving as Chair of Pihanga Health in Tūrangi and Chair of Amplify - the economic development agency for the Taupō/Tūrangi Mangakino area. 

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting) and MBA and brings with her a wealth of experience and deep commitment to community service, making her an invaluable addition to our board.

Jo's previous professional roles include President of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Deputy Chair Consumer NZ, General Manager Corporate for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Commissioner for the Insurance and Financial services ombudsman and CEO of the NZ Cancer Society.

Reflecting on her new board role, Jo says, "I am very much looking forward to serving as a director of King Country Energy.

“KCE is a major asset in the King Country Trust portfolio.  And as KCE grows and thrives, its success provides benefits to the King Country Trust which allows the Trust to provide even more support to the local community we serve.”
